Co-Founder and COO of Maryland Wellness Access (D.B.A. Remedy), Brent Guyton is a
recognized strategic leader with over 20 years in the food manufacturing and distribution
industries. An operations innovator, Brent excels at motivating groups and keeping
organizational focus in-line with objectives while continuously improving and adding value to supply chains.
His career in the heavily regulated manufacturing and distribution channels led him into the medical cannabis industry. In 2014, he co-founded Remedy, one of the first licensed and operating medical cannabis dispensaries in Maryland. Brent is responsible for all business strategies and procedures that include compliance, quality, patient education, training, and procurement while maintaining relationships with vendors/partners, analyzing investment and researching expansion opportunities.
Brent served on the Board for Maryland Community Health Initiatives, Inc. (Penn North) from 2008 until May 2019. Penn North is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has been delivering essential behavioral health and recovery services through its Penn North Community Resource Center in Baltimore City since 1993. Brent was a scholar-athlete at UCLA, where he studied Business and Economics. He holds a B.S.in Communications from Towson University. He lives in his childhood hometown of Columbia, MD with his wife and two children.
